THROBBING GRISTLE: Mission of Dead Souls (Mute; dist. by Rough Trade) Their last live performance in San Francisco. The members of TG provide the usual provocative industrial sounds for the delight of many closet psychopaths. Genesis P-Orridge offers us threatening screams layered over mechanical synthesizer drones and savage beats pounding away madly. Yes! This is music from the Death Factory. I would not suggest listening to this album on a walkman or in a dark cold room alone at night. Also, you cannot dance to Throbbing Gristle, but you'll have fun trying. -Eric Gould
