March 25, Friday MILLS COLLEGE James Tenney Retrospective The Mills Contemporary Performance Ensemble, directed by Steed Cowart and William Winant, presents a retrospective concert of instrumental and electronic music by composer James Tenney. Includes Monody for solo clarinet (1959); Ergodos II (1964), a computer-generated piece produced at Bell Labs; and more recent works for acoustic instruments dealing with alternative tunings and acoustics, including Critical Band (1988).
