Experimental Electronic Music Concert ELECTRO-MAGNETIC presents an evening of new electro-acoustic music on Saturday June 24th [1995] at 8pm at the Nexus Gallery in Berkeley (2707 8th St off of University). The concert will feature four individual groups/artists who have been very active over the last few years in the Bay Area's new and experimental music scene: Crawling With Tarts (Suzanne Dycus & Mic Gendreau); John Bischoff; Citizen Band (Xopher Davidson, Thomas Day, & Greg Lenczycki); and Circular Firing Squad (Eva Baumgartner, Xopher Davidson, David Kwan & Tim Walters).

The program will premiere new compositions which explore a diverse array of musical textures generated from a collection of unique aural palettes -- from signal to noise, computer-controlled devices, system exclusive messages, high-speed AC and DC motors geared down in various (primitive) ways, tube oscillators and sympathetic resonances, a pile of guitars, and copyright infringements. There will be a sliding scale admission fee ($3-5) to offset the cost and a reception will follow the concert.
