PGR The Chemical Bride [Silent] (CD 65 min) Eight compositions here from Kim Cascone. There is a mostly ominous and dark tone in these works, a slow bass strumming sound. While listening to this I had visions of very large ships crossing through dark waters and one could hear their sides rubbing together and the sounds of water and waves hitting the decks. Long slow waves of sounds which flow into the air and ear. Filmic music with an eerie ambience and which I quite enjoy. If Tscharkosky had directed Querelle, this would have been the perfect soundtrack. (DP)
