Ancient Future

The award-winning music of Ancient Future combines the contemporary sounds of jazz and rock with the irresistible rhythms of African, Balinese, Indian, Middle Eastern and South American percussion, the rich harmonies of Europe, and the beautiful melodies of Asia. In short, their music is an exhilarating fusion of exciting rhythms and exotic sounds from around the globe. This group of virtuoso multi-instrumentalists is known for its stunningly rhythmic live show that simultaneously features the subtle, intricate, and elegant melodic aspects of world music that Ancient Future has received such widespread acclaim for on their recordings.

Asian Fusion, Ancient Future's latest release, finds common ground between Western jazz and the indigenous music of Asia. It features collaborations with some of the finest Asian musicians, including Chinese gu zhung master Zhao Hui. The record was TOWER PULSE! magazine's #4 Contemporary Instrumental Release of the Year. Natural Rhythms, was reissued on CD in 1994 to commemorate 15 years of Ancient Future history. The record was selected by THE BEAT magazine as a #4 1994 World Music Release.
