I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Charles Russell very much for his kind and thoughtful appreciation of my music (cassette review, "Bootstrapping", March 1990, vol. 15, no. 1).

Your comment, "a mind that thinks purely in terms of sound, regardless of the means of production at hand, " is quite apt, as I have always thought of my trumpet-playing in terms of synthesis: AM, FM, filtering and so forth.

I've been working on this music (not specifically what's on the tape) for about ten years now, and it's always nice to get some recognition. Thanks again, and keep listening.
