KLANG: THE BLUE RIDER (Oktron Productions, 1807 Divisadero San Francisco, CA 94115) Mainly a solo tape by multi-versed John Destephano, although occasionally added to the mix are guest musicians who display their vocal and saxophone talents. Klang has released a number of cassettes, all of which are interesting excursions into the realm of electronics, etc.. The music on this tape is an experiment in electronics and percussion. The style is oriented towards a very musical approach, and at times, with an almost surreal sensibility to creating sounds. Overall the tape is delightfully textural, always creatively and skillfully executed. WD
